Yarra Glen is a 10 minute drive, passing by the Winnike Dam with its park and barbeque setting and fishing and sailing areas. The Yarra Glen Racecourse is part of the Picnic Race circuit, as is the beautiful Healesville racecourse (a further 10 minutes from Yarra Glen). Yarra Glen has a harness meeting on Melbourne Cup day each year, with all of the fashion and fun of Cup day.

Food, Produce and Craft markets are held each month at the Yarra Glen racecourse, as is the regular market at Yerring Station Winery. Gulf Station is at Yarra Glen and features the National Trust renovated farm. The famous Saturday morning market at St Andrews is a must for fresh flowers, herbs and vegetables, plus brick-a-brack and crafts and is only 5 minutes away.

The MG car club operates the Rob Roy hillclimb and hosts events almost each month of the year with the major historic meeting in November. Hundreds of interesting historic cars usually participate in this meeting, one of Victoria’s biggest. The MG Club's main event is held early in the year (usually in February or March). The hillclimb is in Clintons Road is an easy 10-minute drive from us, close to the Winneke Dam and parklands, and our B & B is motorsport friendly.

A FEW MORE SUGGESTIONS
Kinglake, with its National Park is 20 minutes to the north. Plus, there arealso: wetlands, walking trails, farmers markets, Healesville Sanctuary, Diamond Valley mini railway, horse riding, cycling and picnic areas with facilities and plenty more to see and do.

It's not difficult to fill your days and nights, too, if you want to be out and about. High speed or low speed, there's something here for everybody
